ARTwork statement:
The infusion of Afro Deco into my formal practice is unmodified. I integrate everyday objects and two-dimensional media into large-scale installations influenced by found pattern, street art, the human figure and abstraction. In addition, I create layered Xerox drawings and collages derived from printmaking techniques to construct narrative. The result of an ongoing investigation into my drawn and photographed image repository is subject to re-contextualization within a mixed media work and exploration of abstraction in painting.
