Antonio Vidal de Lascurian
Savage Planet, 2020
triptych, mixed media on canvas
60”H x 40”W (each)
ARTWORK STATEMENT:
The piece is a reflection on Pre-humanism, Chaos, and Posthumanism. Taking an approach of Religious/Mythical Genesis/Apocalypse. Using the image of the “Ark” as a shelter for future genetically altered humans (kind of a Neitchian Overman) foreshadowing the shift of socio-economic disparity into a genetic one.
