ARTwork statement:

“After the Pillow Fight” is a continuation of our series that represents a glimpse of “home”, which ties nicely with it being a vessel. Due to COVID-19 and the new normal, many people had to transform their homes into safe havens, offices, schools; a place where they are either together as families or alone. We are hoping that this piece represents love, personalities, warmth and that the viewer feels welcome to “step into” this intimate space. Hopefully, people will find something they can recognize as part of themselves within the piece.

ARTIST BIO:

t.w.five is an art duo that was formed in 2009. The two artists are from two different continents—Europe and South America. As a pair, they explore their opposite cultures and turn their ideas and thoughts into massively sized vinyl installations. The adhesive-backed vinyl comes in big rolls that are carefully hand-cut and placed onto boards or directly onto windows, walls, ceilings, and floors.
